Hi,
Quick question: I read a while ago people with R5C7 as clean install had problems with picking up and locking onto channels on DVB-T scans. Has this is been resolved in R5D1?
Thanks.

It will be in 0.20 - don't think much has changed with the current 0.19 branch R5D1 is on.

Arse. I was hoping to do a fresh install, but it can wait.

ugg...
I just wiped a gentoo install to get Knoppmyth, and now you are telling me that channel scanning DVB-T might not be working? That is exactly the problem I am having. My card (FusionHDTV-III) was recognised, but I cannot tune any channels. Is there a fix?

Bad one, I think it's a case of try, try again... I remember seeing people having problems with clean installs of R5C7. I was hoping they were fixed.
I think the resolution was just to keep on scanning for channels... eventually it will pick up channels or enter the information manually. (Hopefully this will be of some use..) 'Fraid I cant offer more info.

Well, I am getting kernel problems too when sound levels are trying to be set during installation. Guess I will have to come back to Knoppmyth in a few months and cross my fingers.

In Aussie Land when I installed R5C7 I scanned for channels fine. It just didn't pick up the weaker signalled SBS. To correct this I put as much information into the scanner before starting and then it picked it up fine.

Sweet, I may reinstall with R5C7 then.
Did you get your information from dvbscan uk-<Your Transmitter> | tee channels.conf first?
Ta

R5C7 was my first knoppmyth install, and auto scan picked up most channels
(My transmitter is Hannington, west of Basingstoke)
Manually adding channels from a channels.conf filled the gaps.

More recently however an auto-scan on a clean install of R5C7 did even better, and a couple of scans (dunno why this helps) seems to have picked up all available channels.

Thanks guys, Though it would. From an earlyer install of KnoppMyth (R5A26) I used the above command and in 30.1 I used the rescan trick.
I wanted to check before I started.
