Post subject: | QAM channel mapping and guide data |
Pardon the multiple questions here, but it seems that my setup is a bit more unique than what the guides tell you to do. I have an AirStar HD-5000 and PVR-150 card in the system. I can scan the QAM channels successfully, tune them, and watch them. The channel name (call letters) show up properly, and the logo shows up properly (except for one). However, NONE of the QAM channels are getting guide data. I've been told to setup a Zap2It "broadcast" lineup, which I've done, but it doesn't sync up the lineups. Also, none of the QAM channels have an XMLTVID number set. Now, in my case, the HD channels have the same channel # as the Time Warner cable digital lineup. In other words, channel 18-06 is the same as 1806 if I had a Set Top box. The "broadcast" lineup, though, has the HD channel as 6-1 So my question is: Do I just copy the xmltvid from 6-1 into 18-06? Or copy the one from the digital lineup (1806) into 18-06? Also, I've tried toggling the "use on air guide" and it doesn't make any difference. |

Either should work. I used the broadcast XMLTVID for my setup but I see no reason the digital shouldn't work. |

Thanks. So I *AM* correct that the xmltvid is what is uses to "link" the channel/station to what it downloads from zap2it? |

AFAIK that is correct |
