I'm in the process of rebuilding/building a new HD Myth box. My old box had 2 Air2PC rev 0.2 cards which I was using to capture OTA HD. This worked well, but sometimes got dropouts. I also have a pcHDTV hd-3000 which I know can capture QAM and I'll be using that and taking out one of the other cards I have in the box.

While researching what was needed to get my stuff working I became interested in what all of the available cards were. I searched on here to find a few posts about specific cards, but there was no complete list of available cards for the masses to use. I wanted to start a post (maybe a sticky once it gets some useful information) where we can keep a list of available cards that we know as working.

Please reply with cards that I've missed and include brand and model as well as PCI, PCI-E, or USB so they can be classified accordingly.

Also note:

I'm trying to verify that all cards in the list function. As I don't have the resources to buy each one and test myself I'm going to go on what I hear/read. If a card is verified it will get an * next to it's name. If it has not yet been verified, there will be no *.

Are you after DVB tuners as well as ATSC?

I have the Dvico FusionHDTV-RT 5 Lite and have tested it using both QAM and OTA on my R5D1 + 0.20 installation. Works fine, so I guess you can place an asterisk next to it in your lists :)

Yes, I'm looking to compile a complete list for those who are just starting out, or those who want to look into new hardware.

Have you considered updating the tuner card pages on the wiki?

http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=TVCards

http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... CardYouUse

These could really use a maintainer...

pcHDTV hd-3000
Airstar HD5000
KWorld 110 (only $38, through a deal with buy.com and google checkout!)

(All PCI cards)

In my situation, the Airstar HD5000 is the least reliable, in terms of signal lock and (lack of) breakups. I think I have lots of multipath interference, with my OTA setup. Since getting the driver loaded properly with R5E50, the KWorld has been very solid.

Is the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 still non-compatible with KnoppMyth?

I can handle that. I'll get some more information here on the forum and then get to updating the wiki page.

Thanks.

I can verify that the ATI HDTV Wonder works as a QAM device. It uses the same firmware as the AvertvHD and setup is the same.

You can reference these threads for setup:

Are there any ATSC USB sticks that work with KM? I was looking around and can't really find any. There are a couple that look promising for the future like the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950. I like the idea of adding another ATSC tuner without adding another power cable (wall wart), thus the USB stick.

I'm getting ready to buy one of the HVR950's so I'll start playing around with that. I don't believe it's supported at this time but someone's got to take the jump.
