I just got HD working in my mythbox and im thinking of upgrading from the nvidia FX5200 to something else. HD works on it but it sometimes can be a bit choppy. I have a gig of ram and a 2.4GHZ cheap celeron. I did some reading and someone said the FX5200 can be used for HD as a minimum. Should I grab an FX6200 off ebay or go for something even better? Is the celeron still ok for HD or should I also grab a real P4 processor?

My HD stuttering issues disappeared when I went to 3.0Ghz (I also run frontends on AMD 3200+ and X2 3800+, no issues)

I use a 6200LE in the P4 3.0Ghz system, works fine. I don't use XvMC.

If you have the means I would say upgrade the processor. I don't think the FX5200 should be a problem.
