Hiu I'm looking to purchase a new tv-tuner card and have seen that they now come in the form of a PCI express variety.

So I thought before I purchase this time (and later discover driver support for said purchased card isn't so crash hot lol) I'd find out if the new slot versions of card are working under linux and if so what brands of card are working with the least amount of issues under linux specifically knoppmythtv.

Thanks in advance

I think the HD HomeRun tuner is the cat's pajamas. You get two complete ATSC tuners in a box that connects via LAN interface. You can place the box anywhere you need to. I plan to put mine up in the attic with the antenna -- the coax losses should be minimal and it will give me the best picture (I hope).

You can get the HD HomeRun tuner from http://mythic.tv (free shipping!).
