Post subject:  ATSC OTA scan give "no tables" for some channels

Hi all. I'm sooooo close to having a fully operational HDTV Knoppmyth box! The consolidated HD antenna in our area finally came online so I figured it was time to give it another shot.

When I scan for HD OTA channels (via the setup GUI, connections), most show No Signal, two actually appear with the correct station info, and around 10 more show No Tables.

What the heck does "no tables" mean in this context and how do I get some tables so I can receive those other stations?? I've Googled lots and found nothing. I've searched forum after forum until my eyes watered. Wah!

Background:
- Tuners are one PVR-150 and one Fusion HDTV Gold.
- Tried nuking all tuners cards, sources, etc, and rebuilding. No change in scanning.
- Mythfilldatabase DOES download the correct info for the one HD station that worked in the scan.
- Mythfilldatabase COMPLAINS about the remaining HD stations and refuses to add them.
- Fetch lineups never gets anything useful.
- I can successfully tune and watch that one station (and MAN is it pretty!) (even my wife noticed) :D
- I tried this originally with a single Schedules Direct account and lineup, and of course it fussed about digital stations on an analog receiver. So I made a trial account with only HD stations in the lineup. No change.

Thanks for any insight!
David

I live in the USA (Atlanta, Ga.) and have a PCHDTV HD-5500
which does both OTA HD and SVideo (from my satellite
receiver).

I remember after I finally got it set up (the HD-5500 SVideo
driver didn't work and I had to trial and error to determine
how to get the OTA HD and the SVideo inputs both working)
that someone said the order that you do the channel scan vs.
getting the list of channels (this is during card setup, before
running mythfilldatabase) from Schedules Direct was important.

I set up an HD lineup at Schedules Direct with the stations
they thought I should get. I get more stations than that and
although the guide is blank for those extra stations, I can
watch live tv on them.

I also have an SD lineup for the sat receiver.

Good luck,
Cliff
