Does anyone know a good site for educational information about free-to-air boxes?

Does anyone know if there's a box that's particularly good to use with Myth?

If you are talking about the digital TV transition and converter boxes and
the US 2x$40 coupon program then:

https://www.dtv2009.gov/ is the offical site.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CECB is a good reference with helpful links.

CECB is what you want to search for (Coupon Elegible Converter Box).

The coupons expire in 3 ? months PERIOD.

There are certain features (4x3 output, composite, etc) that are required
to be coupon elegible.

There are certain features that are optional (smart antenna output, SVideo
output, Analog passthru, etc.).

Some features are specifically disallowed (HD output, recording
capability, etc.).

Make sure you understand what features you are buying before you buy.

I would suggest that you make sure you get one that has analog
passthrou and SVideo output.

My research shows that the Apex DT250 is the best one for me right now.

It depends on what FTA you're talking about.

FTA/OTA channels (ATSC in the US) are the DTV channels that stations will permanently switch to in Feb. 2009. You could start at the www.dtv2009.gov web site. Another forum I keep an eye on is avsforum.com. The HDTV subgroups are where these are discussed.

If you're talking about FTA satellite reception. There's a few sites out there, but I haven't found the best place to be. FTA satellite isn't all that great, and it will NOT get you anywhere near what Dish or DirecTV has. I wanted to dabble with this, too, but my free time to tinker isn't what it used to be.

If you're referring to DVB-S satellite FTA you may be interested in these sites:
