FYI -- The firewire interface to the motorola DCT-6200 set top box on R5.5 is much more stable than it has been on prior releases. It looks like the mythtv developers have built the reset logic into mythtv and the system automatically resets the box before every recording. So far, it is very reliable. I am able to record both clear and encrypted channels via the firewire interface. As expected, I am not able to record shows that have the copy protection flag set. Marc |
