G'day all, I have just upgraded to R5.5 and I am now experiencing problems with DVB-S in the UK. I get the following error... Code: 2010-10-04 20:50:25.871 Scheduled 536 items in 4.7 = 1.08 match + 3.61 place 2010-10-04 20:55:13.682 AutoExpire: CalcParams(): Max required Free Space: 1.0 GB w/freq: 15 min 2010-10-04 20:57:00.927 Reschedule requested for id 0. 2010-10-04 20:57:04.040 Scheduled 536 items in 3.1 = 0.00 match + 3.10 place 2010-10-04 20:57:29.893 TVRec(3): ASK_RECORDING 3 29 0 0 2010-10-04 20:58:01.424 TVRec(3): Changing from None to RecordingOnly 2010-10-04 20:58:01.436 TVRec(3): HW Tuner: 3->3 2010-10-04 20:58:02.512 AutoExpire: CalcParams(): Max required Free Space: 3.0 GB w/freq: 15 min 2010-10-04 20:58:02.519 Started recording: Spooks "3/8, series 9": channel 9346 on cardid 3, sourceid 3 2010-10-04 20:58:02.690 Program #10354 not found in PAT! It does not happen all the time and it happens on different channels. At the moment it seems random. I suppose I should upgrade a bit further and see if the problem goes away. I was using R5f27 and it had been rock solid for ages. |

I have noticed my R6 not recording, lately on dvb-s. A little investigation and I found the BBC have shuffeled some of the PIDS BBC1 will crash my recorder so I binned it. I now use BBC1 HD I think its PID is 6941. I only got round to doing anything today, I have 2 dvb-t cards so record BBC1 on them. I would suggest you rescan your channels and hide the ones that don't work... |

Trouble is, it is not consistent. Sometimes it will record and sometimes it won't. I have not worked out why yet. So here is the latest one I just tried, that did not work... Code: 2010-11-15 12:42:00.044 adding: mythtv as a client (events: 0)

There is no error in the backend log, but nothing was recored. <edit 1> No furhter change on this, it still happens, but I am about to change hardware and see if that helps, I needed to upgrade anyway so that I can play HD content. I will report on progress of the problem. <edit 2> No proven yet, but when I upgraded my hardware the other day I found that the coax was loose, in fact the f connector was broken, so that might have something to do with it |

It was not the connector, I am still getting the same issue. I need to see if it is one source that is causing the problem. It could be a card or the lnb it is connected to. |

Hi Stinga, Sounds like the card is on its way out to me. I had a similar problem with a DVB-t card go bad a while ago. Mysteriously odd shows were not being recorded and it was intermittent. The card was reporting it worked - I couldn't see anything obvious in the logs, but I can't remember if there were any logs like yours. I'm no expert so I may have missed something. It was 5 or 6 years old. The WAF dropped significantly. Replaced that card and all good. Incidentally I did a rescan for my channels the other day for both DVB-T and DVB-S. On the sat card ITV1-HD and BBC1-HD appeared too. I rarely record of ITV, but the additional BBC-HD channel is a bonus. Chris |

G'day all, Well it might be solvde. I did a re-scan... and what a disaster that was! mythtv scanneverything added about 600 channels, which I deleted. It detected the frequency for 50% of what was left and generally made a bit of a mess. Anyway I have spent two days fixinh the xmltvids and channel/mlplex mapping and it does seem to be a lot better. Before I started I made copy of channel and dtv_multiplex and truncated the tables. |
