In researching modeline creation I have seen some warnings about damage to a set without correct modeline creation. I just bought 4000 plasma. I want to hook a mythtv box up to it. How big are the risks in the modeline creatioin process? How do I minimize them or get rid of the risk? Also how does testing on a crt monitor let me know if the modeline will work on my plasma? |

I'd say your first step should be a google for existing modelines. Why reinvent the wheel if you don't have to? Also try avsforum.com... |

No luck on google. I searched for modeline and th-50px50u which is my tv. I am in the process of searching avsforum. But one thing I want to know Is how much risk am I taking with my new tv. The knoppmythwiki said if you turn it off or change input quickly it should minimize damage. How long does it take to get damage to happen. What is the damage that could occur. Are there other ways to minimize it. rkshack |
