From what I have read, F7 is supposed to bring up the signal meter in myth 0.19. After upgradint to knoppmyth R5B7, F3 is bringing up mythweather.

I can't find where I have F7 mapped to mythweather, is this a leftover setting from my old install?

Is there another way to bring up a signal meter? I have a few marginal channels and I will need to adjust my antenna.

I found the answer to my question by digging through the menus.
Under the Utilities/Setup menu, there is a button for Edit Keys. The first context is jumppoints. On the Mythweather action F7 was set.

After removing F7 from Mythweather, I now can bring up the signal meter. But it does not work. Every channel regardles of signal strength shows the following.

Signal 0% | S/N 4.8db | BE 0 | (L) Lock

Isn't the signal meter only for DVB cards? I doin't think the PVR-xxx series supports that feature. I could be wrong...

I forgot to mention that I'm using a HD-5000. I just updated my signature to reflect that. Does this card support signal meter? If not is there a command line util I could use that would report signal strength?

I didn't know that updating a sig also updates the sig on all my old posts. That could be confusing.

Well the HD-5000 does have some sort of signal meter support. I checked it out last night while trouble shooting another issue. I installed the HD-5000 under windows using the drivers that came with it. There was a channel scan utility that reported signal strength.

Although this card came with windows drivers and some software, I would not reccomend trying to use this card in windows. There is very little functionality. I might use it to try to tune my antenna though.
