I have done many searches, maybe I am just using the wrong terms but I did try. So here goes...

R5A16
WinTV FM (bt878)

I am not getting any sound coming directly from the tuner card. On my other system if I hook up the speaker directly to the audio out of the tuner I get sound (just not in sync with video), with this nothing. It seems like a driver issue, but I am not very good with that stuff. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have hooked the card up to another computer (windows) and was able to get sounds from it, so I know it is not a problem with the card itself.

Any thoughts?

well I don't have one of those cards, so I'm not sure what the tuner and type are supposed to be, but you could search for them here or on google and make sure they are set right in the /etc/mythtv/modules/bttv file.

OK, still no luck, but I have determined a few things. I notice I am getting an error that says something to the effect of ignoring line with alias in /etc/mythtv/modules/bttv. And I think I have determined the card to be the WinTV Model 401, based on pictures. It looks like there are a few other people who are using it so maybe they can help.
