My setup is KnoppMyth R5-30.1 , 2 HD-3000 cards , trying to watch QAM_256 signals with Cox San Diego, & view them on Mythtv. KnoppMyth loads just fine, the DVB drivers & firmware for the HD3000 cards load up just fine. My IR receiver also works. However, I can't seem to watch TV. Wink
Thanks to the unfriendliness of COX, I'm not able to perform a channel scan (they don't put the channel info with the signal). What actually happens is I get a bunch of entries for a channel 510 that don't have frequency numbers. These are on top of the channels added by mythfilldatabase.
SO... I'm going to have to manually find the channels and edit the channels table myself.

I'm able to now use azap & mplayer to tune in my local COX unencrypted digital channels & watch them.
Here's my channel.conf:
CBSHD:627000000:QAM_256:49:52
FOXHD:627000000:QAM_256:33:36
PBSHD:627000000:QAM_256:17:20
ABCHD:531000000:QAM_256:33:36
WBHD:531000000:QAM_256:49:52
NBCHD:531000000:QAM_256:65:68
HOWEVER, when I put in these values manyally into the channels table of mythtv, I get blackness. I've got these values above, along with the associated XMLTVID for each channeld connected together, and mythfilldatabase downloads data. However, when I go to record the channel, I get blackness. Same thing happens when I attempt to watch live video. I've got the starting channel as 705, which is one of the channels in my config. However, when I start up the back end, I get an error that says it can't find the channel config for 705, and fails to tune.
Can someone help me understand what the elements in the channels table mean, and which ones I need to have filled in to make this work?
