This just started hapening after I installed firefox which I dont know caused it or not. The problem I am having now is that ever time i goto fastforward or rewind a recorded program the position say for example 00:10 of 30:00 and then instead of jumping the preset 8 or 30secs the 2nd number (the length of the recording) randomly starts changing for about 5seconds or so and then finally jumps forward. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

I've not tried using firefox so I don't know if it introduces any new variables, but usually when I experience difficulties with jumping forward it is an indication that the mysql database needs to be repaired. One of the forums has a sticky near the top which explains how to do this.
