I dunno ...

I gotta wonder about the veracity of that "Vegas" post considering the post date.

Having gotten past the hard disk identity issues we're now on to other stuff like the screen going blank during boot or the install. ;-) While most of the issues aren't impossible, you really don't want to deal with them during an install or upgrade unless you've got a black belt in Linux. My guess is that it'll be a while longer (weeks not days) before things shake out.

Sorry for the delay folks. I had to veg for a couple days. I guess you can say this is taking a toll. Taking way longer than I wanted and hitting stumbling blocks... But things are solid and just a few minor bugs remain.

Take your time. This just gives me more time to find another hard drive to add to the new Storage Groups.

When things get ruff (for me at least) it is best to just walk away for a minute then come back and attack it again.

I don't want to sound annoying, but is there timeframe of releasing the new R5 distro?
I'm not pushing, I just want to know, as I just bought new hardware, and I would like to start with the new release if possible, but I can still wait a little while...
Just to schedule my spare time as my brother (he lives in Maine, USA) is coming home(Belgium) for a holiday in 2-3 weeks...

Thanks for the updates ;)

The same as always. When it is ready. If all goes well, you should be able to show it off to our brother. I hope the both of you enjoy the visit.

Just curious if anyone could please share with us what problems you're currently working on for the next release. I enjoy hearing the "behind the scenes" discussions.

Testers should have a final release in the next few days. Working on this release has taken it's toll on me that is why it is taking longer than I'd like...
