I installed R5C7 on my system. I have a DISH network box svideo out hooked to a PVR-250 svideo in. In Mythtv GUI I was able to see live TV and view the program guide which was filled from my ZAP account. My program guide had about 20 channels in it. My DISH account has 1 - that is ONE - channel. So I went to my ZAP account and editted the channel listing to remove all but the one channel I receive. Nice, because I do not need to worry about an IR blaster controlling the old DISH box. Anyway, I then ran mythtv-setup and ran a mythfilldatabase and rebooted. The MythTV GUI came up and I was still able to watch live TV but the program guide was BLANK. Ontop of a blank program guide, if I press UP or DOWN on the remote or on the key board the Mythtv GUI will exit! It drops down to the knoppix underlying GUI that you get upon a requested exit from the Mythtv GUI. Up/Down worked fine when I had 20 channels in the guide. Is this a bug in Mythtv? How can I overcome this blank program guide with a single channel? I plan to add channels until I see a guide that works. Scot |

I added 3 more channels to the ZAP list. I exited MythTV. Entered a root terminal. Shutdown the backend. Ran mythtv-setup and loaded and attached the channel list. Exited the setup and ran mythfilldatabase and then rebooted. Bingo, my channel list is there and complete. This kind of points to a bug/feature in MythTv GUI. Could someone tell me how to have a single channel program guide? Thanks, Scot |
