Post subject: | tv_grab_uk_rt problem after auto-install |
First off, Hi all. Being a seasoned Mythtv user and having used knoppmyth before, I was coaxed into setting up another box after some hardware came my way. Now, I am pretty sure I do not have any hardware related issues as pinging the outside world seems fine. My Environment: In the UK. Supermicro M/board P4 3.0 Ghz 786 mb (or whatever 512+256 is ![]() PVR-250 (please remember peeps to check your ir cables ![]() 82 Gb IDE drive 1 x CD-RWriter Onboard Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4401 100Base-T This is all hooked up to my Sony Bravia 50" and my 100Base-T switch / router / gateway / wireless box. (urm linksys?) Running R5B7 The Problem: After install the mythtv-setup errors saying it cannot do the tv_grab_uk_rt bit. As a result the error stops me from getting listings. I have since noticed that the weather fails instantly and as such times out? My Theory: I think the problem lies in the database for my location as far as the weather goes, but changing the settings for my locale to my postcode does not help? perhaps I need to use something like the area? London, Reading? Also, I have not ruled out the posibility of a duff setting in regards to mythbackend not using the correct lan card? originally the box had a wifi card that turned out not to work with Linux ![]() I have tried running tv_grab_uk_rt on its own and I get the following error twice: Code: root@mythtv:/myth# /usr/bin/tv_grab_uk_rt
Undefined argument in option spec Undefined argument in option spec I have no idea what this means or what I can do about it? I would like to avoid a re-install for now, as my kids and wife are using it. Thanks all. If there is anything we need to resolve this e.g logs, setting changes etc. then please let me know. ![]() |
