Edit: See solution later in the thread. I'm trying to feed my VCR into the composite input on the PVR-250. It appears it should be easy, but apparently, I've missed something. What I've done:

Hi, I am assuming 250 simular to 350. What I do is add a source as Video, then create a channel ntsc video on channel 1, page 2 assign freq id of 1, Then add video to compoiste 0 as channel 1. I would suspect you could also map it to different channel number. Mike |

That is pretty much what I did. The only difference is I used PAL and a valid freqID for my area (I figured the card might complain if it was requested to tune an invalid freq). I also tried NTSC (I have some NTSC tapes) but that didn't work. I will try a freqID of 1 just in case, but I don't think that really matters. Cheers, Allen |

Okay, I figured it out. Turned out it was my inability to read exactly what was on the setup screen. The connection options are: Code: Composite 0 I completely missed the Composite 4 farther down on the list. Guess which one I needed to use?
Composite 1 Composite 2 Composite 3 Tuner 0 Composite 4 S-Video 0 S-Video 1 S-Video 2 S-Video 3 The other good news is that it is possible to have more than one connection specified in the setup (ex. Tuner 0 and Composite 4) and switch between them. Reading older posts, this seems to be a recent enhancement. Allen |
