Post subject: | Wrong picture aspect in Myth Gallery |
AS the subject states, myth gallery displays my photos at wrong aspect ratio.. Myth gallery thinks I have a 4:3 screen and the consequence is that everybody on the pictures look fat! ![]() I have a 16:9 TV so i'd like to instruct myth gallery in a similar way as I instruct mplayer(with -monitoraspect 16:9) and xine(--geometry 16x9) -or if its done in another way? |

I should add to the record that I have added "DisplaySize 820 460" in the "Monitor" section in my XF86Config-4 file under /etc/X11 but that made no difference. (I actually use 410 230 instead to make the font sizes better) All you ppl that have widescreens at home; did it work for you out of the box? |

I'm having the same problem. Has anyone found a resolution to this? Previously I just changed the aspect on my TV witch gave me two black bars on the side of the screen. That worked fine. Now I have connected my new 42" FullHD LCD from DVI to HDMI. That works amazingly fine and worked right out the box. I'm running 1920x1080 at 60Hz witch I believe would be 1080p. The thing is that when i'm feeding my display this way it takes away the different aspect ratio settings on the TV leaving only "full" or "underscan" witch is pixel 1:1 mapping. Watching recordings I can select different ratios using the "a" key, but watching my digital images using MythGallery gives me no option to change the aspect. To me this is quite an imprtant function as this is my main way of watching images. Maybee I could use some other software instead of MythGallery? Regards håkan (also in Göteborg) |

IT turned out i ran 4:3 ratio.. I fixed my modeline and after that i had proper aspect ratios even in mythgallery. hope this helps. /Martin |

Thanks! That fixed the problem. My wife even refused to watch our images via the mythbox as they were so "wiiiiiiiide" ![]() I also got around to fix my X config and ther were plenty of errors... Thanks again. |
