Post subject: | Recordings Playback Options |
epia sp13000 1 Gb Ram 100 Gb HDD Hauppauge 350 In order to get videos to play on my machine I have to feed mplayer the '-framedrop' and '-vo x11' options. I'm sure this is because my via onboard graphics are not working 100%, either way I can live with it........... Unfortunately tv recordings playback and look terrible with tons of skipping. How do I tell myth to use similar options for mplayer when playing recordings? I know that the recordings are okay because I've watched them on my Windows machine and the quality is excellent. Thanks. |

Hi, You might try going into settings > tv playback and turning off/on the deinterlace, also there are several decoders to try, I use the libmpeg2 mostly with very good results. There are many options, try them all and use what is best for you. Mike |

Post subject: | no options fixed anything yet |
The TV playback is slow and choppy..... The options under TV settings have yet to touch anything. I'm starting to think that my performance issues are related to my sp13000. This board is supposed to be pretty powerful, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working for me. Either way, does anyone know how to force tv playabck to go through Mplayer.......at the very least i could feed it the -framedrop option and startw atching my recordings. |

I have the same problem on my card, but I think the problem is coming from wrong options activated/desactivated. The question is wich one to check or uncheck for EPIA SP13000? If someone else could help for this? I did not found any howto nor wiki page for this... |

Post subject: | internal player options |
are openchrome drivers installed auomatically through knoppmyth? how to i check that i have the correct drivers installed and working? i've tried using glxgears and i get a max rate of about 90 fps.....this seems low from what i've seen others advertising. either way, is it possible to feed the internal player options like '-framedrop' or can i force the tv playback to go through mplayer or similar programs? |

Currently, KnoppMyth doesn't include OpenChrome. I'd ask that you patiently wait for the next release. |
