i'm quite stumped in trying to configure my new mythbox

when choosing my capture card, no matter which type of card i choose, the only things listed in "default input" is composite0-4

this is a problem for me, since i'm plugging a coax cable into my tuner card

does anyone know what could be the issue and how i could configure this?

by the way, my card is an ADS PTV-305

A quick google suggests this is a cx88 'Blackbird' card. Support is still borderline for this under linux AFAIK. See:

If you want a minimum of trouble, try a Hauppauge x50 card instead.

thank you! now it's actually recognizing my card. however, whenever i go to "watch tv" i get an approx. 30 second black screen then it kicks back to the menu. i've checked the configuration over and over and over and i've tried everything here: http://wiki.knoppmyth.net/index.php?page=BlackScreenWatchingTV

does anyone have any other suggestions?

30 seconds? That could be just when it tries to start displaying to the video.

Do recorded programs (under the current config) play ok or do they kick back to the screen too?
