Hi all, I have a makeshift MythTV box up and running with a cheapie TV Tuner card (Norwood Micro TV tuner). However, it spits out nuv files that seem really large, and I have filled up 80% of a 120GB hard disk in about 3 days. Is there... 1. Any way to change MythTV to encode to something different going forward? 2. Any way to convert my exsisting files, so that Myth knows that they are still there? |

you can change the recording profiles. right now you probably have it recording in high quality RTJPEG. i don't notice much difference when going from high to low quality... and the recordings end up being 350mb/30m or so. |

im not at home... but try this. use the frontend and go to your recordings, instead of hitting enter on the recording, press the right arrow. there should be options that pop up, maybe one is for archiving or something like that |
