Post subject: | Mythwelcome... how does it know?? |
Can anyone tell me how Mythwelcome decides if it's been woken up automatically or by the user?? I'm using ACPI wakeup which I have working nicely... only rather than Mythwelcome being displayed and so subsequently shutting down again when the recording has finished, it goes straight to Myth Frontend. Any ideas? |

Did you have a look at http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=WakeupToRecordWithMythWelcome There is one section that mentions making a change to use mythwelcome as the default startup: Quote: 6. Change your system startup to run mythwelcome instead of mythfrontend by opening /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps in an editor and replace
* "[startup] {KnoppMyth-run}" with * "[startup] {mythwelcome}" |

Yes, did that. I've used nvram-wakeup before (on another MB) successfully, but couldn't get it working with this one so tried ACPI instead. But it seems that mythwelcome isn't detecting that it's been woken up by ACPI successfully. |

When I was attempting to get mine going (gave up due to the wake up time being misconstrued upon shutdown) after making that change anytime I turned the system on it would go to the welcome screen, I had to navigate from that point to get the front end. |
