Need help fixing messed up tuning for a PVR-250 tuner. How to make PVR 250 find cable tv channels 3,5,9,12,22,23 ? I have setup KnoppMyth R5F27 with a Hauppauge PVR-250 tuner. The signal coming in is Comcast cable tv, the simple service with no boxes or tuners. When I run setup-mythtv and do a channel scan I can't seem to make MythTV pick up a whole bunch of really important channels. II have tried the scanning process with the various settings "US cable" and the IRC and HRC cable variables. I seem to be getting fewer and fewer channels as I mess around. I suspect I have deleted original channel data from the database? I looked at the IVTV site and tried running ivtv-tune for one of the missing channels and "ivtv-tune -c 9" reported it was tuning in this channel that definitely exists. My hardware is a 900Mhz Emachines, 512k memory, 20 gig disk drive. --btw-- I am making this machine into a hard to damage video player for a handicapped child. The project will get a "big button" remote, a simplified command set, and it will basically play her favorite videos that are getting ragged from being repeatedly ejected and handled. More on the project when I get the KnoppMyth box running as it is supposed to. |

MythTV pick up a whole bunch of really important channels. |
