Hello

Just installed the new R5F27 and discovered that all the channels are mixed up with channel list europe-west for Norway. Tried both frequency and channel ID, but they are all wrong, Ie NRK1 is found at E7 while the old myth box (and the cable supplier (GET)) says it should be on E8. Using hauppauge 350 and 150. Could it be something with the firmware for the cards, or is there a wrong mapping list somewhere?

Thanks
-Jorgen

Nevermind - I have been living happily with Knoppmyth for many years, but when something goes wrong, theres always a tricky job to figure out why and how the knoppmyth engineers have derived from the standard package installations - a moved file here, a softlink there, a config file in the correct place according to the original author that is never read, it is very confusing sometimes when you try to debug the system and cannot find files from standard components in the proper places. Why? So - this time I will start from scratch, probably with Fedora, but thanks to all for the years I have used and enjoyed Knoppmyth, I have simply just reached a state where I find it way too 'undebugable'.

PS what I considered an installation problem in the first place was promptly moved to another thread, so my apologies if I again post in the wrong context. I will probably never find out where this posting eventually is moved ;)

There is no configuration file in KnoppMyth that is moved from out of a "standard" location. Anything that is installed via a .deb goes where it goes and the same for something compiled from source. I don't go out of my way to may things difficult.

Sorry if I have misunderstood - but if I for example debug xmltv, and tv_grab_no*, or lirc, the resulting files are not found where they should be according to the documentation. But that is maybe a Debian problem and not a Knoppmyth problem.

Anyway, I have really enjoyed Knoppmyth for many years - just want to explore new variations, and I have more experience with RedHat in my daily work.

Keep up the good work!
