| Post subject: | mythwelcome no shutdown until frontend starts? |
Mythwelcome's status on a fresh boot usually says, "Mythtv is Idle." If I enter my frontend and then exit back to mythwelcome, I'm presented with "Mythtv is idle and will shutdown in x seconds." Is this a bug, or will mythwelcome stay up indefinitely until a user starts the frontend? |

In the general settings of mythtv-setup, there is an option along the lines of "don't shut down until client connected". This causes the backend to not shutdown until atleast one frontend has been connected. Hope this helps |

...there must be an override when the box auto powers up. I had it setup with that box checked for about a week, and I clearly remember the thing powering up, capturing, and when I woke up the next day, the box was off. |
