I just had a bad MythTV experience. My slave machine died, my master machine hickuped, but I didn't think much of it. Turns out, I lost a recording or two, though, had I known my slave had died, I could have swapped out the power supply and had it up and running in minutes.

Any chance someone has a script that will notify me when one of the slave machines goes down? Ideally on screen and email?

Thanks.
