Hello,

I know there is a way, but I just can't find it now. How do I change my FFWD / RWND keys on the remote to us the "skip" values instead of increasing the playback speed? I just made two new frontends, and they are both doing the playback speed, while my main frontend uses the "skip" option. From my checking it looks like the remotes and configuration are all the same, but I'm sure there is an option somewhere that I am missing.

Thanks,

You need to edit your .lirc. In what way is that hard to find?

You can also use the cursor keys to skip during playback--that's what I always use instead of the ffwd/rewind keys.

Right cursor skips forward 30 seconds, left cursor skips back (I think) 15 seconds. Up and down skips forward or back a minute (I forget which is which).

This also assumes that LIRC hasn't been modified or reconfigured for some reason... it's been the default behavior for a KnoppMyth install for a while now.

Going from memory but it sounds like you have "Sticky Keys" turned on in the setup. Try turning that off.
