| Post subject: | mysql issue |
Can someone send me user.frm from /var/lib/mysql/mysql please? Mysql is hosed and googling the issue shows that my file is scrambled. I'm hoping a copy fixes the issue. Thanks, _Abs |

re: 091201 18:30:19 [ERROR] Fatal error: Can't open and lock privilege tables: Table 'mysql.user' doesn't exist So my /var/lib/mysql/mysql/host* files were screwed up due to a crash on the MBE. I blew them away and ran /usr/bin/mysql_install_db --user=mysql That brought up the error above. To solve this I copied the entire /var/lib/mysql/mysql directory from my SBE. Then I had corrupt tables to which I ran: myisamchk -r *MYI from /var/lib/mysql/mythconverg directory. Then I finally did myisamchk -f -r *MYI. Then I restarted mysql: /etc/init.d/mysql start Voila.
