I'm new to using KnoppMyth as my frontend but I love the way it set everything up for me. I upgraded my backend which caused the myth protocol version to roll to 16 so I went and upgraded my frontend (Knoppmyth) to CVS of the mythtv branch and now all my menus are set looking like there are no plugins installed. Basically I did an install with no extra options which installed myth binaries to /usr/local/bin so I copied these over to /usr/bin and did the same with the libs and includes. I see that you're planning a release soon for 18.1 so I"m content to just install that as a fix but should this happen again is there something different I should have done to prevent removing the plugin menu options?

thanks

if you look around the forums and the wiki there are directions. I can't remember what exactly where it's done right now, but you need to set the install directory to /usr/blah instead of /usr/local/blah.

Huh? Where do you see that? As I'm put of town, I'm behind on the the mailing list, but I certainly don't see a 18.1 on mythtv.org. If you update MythTV to CVS, guess what?! You have to update the plugins to CVS.
