Under R5A15.1 upgraded with a PVR-350, a PVR-500 and ivtv 0.3.4q using analog cable (no external cable/sat box, no IR emitters). CPU is Athlon64 3400+, hard drive has DMA on. between 3-5 seconds is normal some say that moving to a filesystem like XFS improves this as it can delete large files quicker. I don't really bother with tuner switches much, but I would imagine they add a bit of time on top of the normal channel change. I imagine if you search the mythtv mailing lists you'll find many discussions about this. |
