Hi all,
I have:
Athlon 1200mhz
512Mb
HD 160gb
GeForce 440MX TvOUT ----> 21" TV
Hauppauge PVR500

Pvr500 is finally functional from about 2 days, after solved pal audio problems... (by cx25840 audiofmt=0x04)
Now, if i mplayer /dev/video0 (or video1) i watch and hear livetv very well, without any problem.
If i watch from the same device in livetv, under mythtv, i get a lots of "prebuffering pause"; my video may hangs after one minute, like after ten minutes (random...)
I've just enabled XvMC for geforce440 (driver nvidia under XF86Config), and video is really smooth now, but "prebuffering" problem still remain. I am sure the problem is mythtv and not the driver, cause mplayer is still perfect, in any kind of system load.
XvMC should light cpu load... and i can't understand why mythtv produces these bufferings...
May someone help me?

P.s. Sorry for bad translation :D

do you have a VIA motherboard chipset? That could be your problem.

No, i have an ECS K7S5A.
For now, i partially resolved using XvMC disabled and setting Deinterlace with Bob2xframrate... But it's not the samething... XvMC make a Motion Compensation.
In this way, i get less "prebuffering", and now i can fast-forward/rewind/pause livetv....
