can somebody help please? I just installed knoppmyth r5a22 as a frontend and backend both on the same machine and the tv recording function seems to work which is the most important thing to me at this point. I also have another machine running Ubuntu breezy, I want to use the Ubuntu machine to watch the video that i have recorded. I followed the directions on setting up the backend by commenting out skip networking in the /etc/mysql/my.cnf and restarting mysql. Next on the ubuntu machine i used synaptic to install myth-frontend and myth-common( both version 0.18.1-5) plus some other files synaptic said I needed. from a terminal window i ran mythfrontend and changed the loopback address to the ip of the backend but it won't connect to the server. does anybody know what do I need to do to be able to watch my recorded shows on the ubuntu machine?

The version of MythTV included with R5A22 isn't compatible with the version you are running on Ubuntu.
