Hi All,

Ok I recorded a show last night on the HDTV card. {HD3000}

Video looks awesome, no sound... not sure why...
One strange thing is if I press F10 or F11 whatever
one for volume... the OSD does not show up at all.

So I recorded another show on the same channel just to see....
And it worked fine... While this was recording I pressed the
same F key and the OSD menu showed up.

Any ideas?

I am using Analog sound only.. NO Spdif.. and AC3 passthru is not
enabled for playback either.

Try using the Plus(+) or Minus(-) key to see if there is another audio track.

If this is the problem, search the forum, there is some info how to make it default to the 1st audio channel because it defaults to the second audio channel for some reason. But, I just remapped a key on my remote to the minus key.

Tried the - and + to no avail.

Then I tried to watch with just using mplayer...
The video starts but no audio and the feedback from mplayer stated
"no audio" UGH!

So it appears that it recorded without audio.. Doh! :?:

Has this happened many times or just with this one recording? Maybe Some guy at the station forgot to queue up the audio. Have you gone through the whole recording? I had a program once where the audio was gone for 10 minutes, and then was fine for the rest of the show. The station was having other problems at the time, but it is a possibility
