Post subject:  Duplicate Check method

I've noticed that there are some shows that don't change either their subtitle or description as they air different episodes. An example of this is "Real World/Road Rules Challenge" / "The Inferno II". Yet somehow MythTV is able to tell what's a repeate recording and what isn't, even though I have the Duplicate Check Method set of "subtitle & description". Does anyone know how this is done and if I can access that info from mysql? I would like to access this info for some down-stream processing I do.

It's probably using the program ID, you should be able to see if by browsing the DB in webmin...

That's it -- thanks!

Also, thanks for the reference to webmin -- I hadn't used webmin before. I found the wiki "howto" artiicle, fired it up and found some other info in the "recorded" table I can use!

Do I get fries with that? :-)

Thanks again for the pointer -- found a ton of other info I can use while browsing the mysql tables...
