I was wondering if it is possible to setup myth so i can get streamed media as a tv channel, like any other channel, so it is possible to record it. -Esp1- |

Not that I'm aware of, but as this type of tv is becoming more popular, and it really shouldn't be hard to set it up as an input source you may want to search the mythtv mailing lists to see if anyone has done it yet. I would imagine it would require the cvs version if it is even available. |

If you can view the streaming media with mplayer, you should be able to save it out as a file for replaying later. I use mplayer to record a radio program that is broadcast over the internet and then listen to it at my convience. Hope that helps... |

i am a good friend of mplayer -dumpstream, ![]() but soon they will discontinue our normal coax tv, and install fiber with the tv streamed trough ethernet. We will get an tuner box, but i am just looking into the options to get around that box. ![]() |

well this is becoming more popular and now that time warner is rolling it out I can only imagine support will be added to mythtv for recording the streams sooner rather than later, but I don't follow the mailing list anymore, so I don't know for sure. |
