Hi,

I have been playing with capturing streaming audio from a couple of sources. I always get a chuckle from listening to the stories of Garrison Kiellor, maybe being a native of Minnesota, I guess I understand his humor.

Sorry for digressing, what I need is some guidence in how to trigger the music scan routine. I currently capture a controlled period of time which is stored in a /myth/music/Radio directory. Then I have to manually run scan for new music for the shows to appear for play out.

Is there a path that when my capture script finishes that I could trigger the scan?

Thanks
Mike
Edit on 23rd ( Is this not a valid question?) It is so I can better implement this

My best advice would be to look at what the button does and see if there is some more convenient way to trigger it... It seems to be called "REFRESH" in the key bindings and "MUSIC_SCAN" in the XML files for the menu... But I don't have any idea how to trigger either of those actions automatically... Perhaps a search in MythTV/users would be helpful?
