I added instructions for both MythstreamTV and MythstreamLiveTV on the wiki. They are from my notes and memory, using a default install of R5A16. If you changed anything, especially in mythweb it may not work for you. Follow the instructions at your own risk. They worked for me. Don't blame me if your system gets FUBAR.

I seem to have mythstreamtv set up properly, it works perfectly with my pvr250 recordings. However I have found that it does not work for me with DVB_S/DVB-T recordings, either as TS or PS. Is there a fix for this, or is it only for pvrX mpeg's ??

my understanding is that the VLC software wants pvrX50 output....check the vlc.ord site for info

Thanks for the reply.

I havd another look at the list for mythstreamtv, and it seems that this is a know bug. It is supposed to work, but doesnt. As far as I can see it works if you set it up by hand using the GUI, at least in windows, so it is a bug rather than a fundemental problem. If I find a fix I will post back.

I may have mis-spoke....streaming live, directly off of the tv card requires the card to be a PVR (or one or two others)

streaming a different format recorded show may just require a tweek to the vlc commandline.

Let us know what you find out.
