My new tv setup has me moving all the equipment out of the tv room and into a closet. Right now, my myth box is connected via VGA at 852x480 to the plasma. I have an Motorola 6200 cable box, that I also want to route directly to the display as well as it's current connection to the myth box. Since my receiver does composite video switching I was thinking of using a VGA to component adapter ($100+ from what I have found) from my FX5200 to the receiver. Would I need to come up with new modelines and screw around with XF86Config-4 even more to get this to work? Finding a combo that got 852 to work was bad enough.

I would run both component and VGA but my holes from the attic down the wall just wont allow it. I was actually going to try Component over Cat5 blauns to send the output to the display. I know I could upgrade to a video card with native support but that gives me less flexibility I think. Any thought from folks that may have dealt with similar situations.
