Ok, first I think I should tell a little bit about my tv-cards and their settings, So I have two TV-cards one analog (PCTV rave) and one digital (Cinergy 1200 DVB-C). At least analog is reported to work on linux and I have heard that cinergy also should work. Mythtv-setup -> Capture card setup Settings for Digital "cinergy 1200 DVB-C" Card type: Digital Video Broadcast card (DVB) DVB Card Number: 0 Card name: Philips TDA10021 DVB-C Card type: DVB-C DiSEqC input Type: DVB-S: single LNB / Input Default input: DVBInput Settings for Analog "PCTV rave" Card type: Standard V4L capture card Video device: /dev/video0 VBI device: /dev/vbi Audio device: /dev/dsp Audio sampling rate limit: none [ ] Do not adjust Volume Default input: Television I guess the settings are right.... But now the problem which begins when I get to setup video sources. Settings in "video source setup" screen: Video source name: DigitaalinenTV XMLTV listings grabber: Finland tv_grab_fi: Configuration will run in the terminal window Channel frequency table: default After setting it up like this I click "finnish" then I get following text: "MythTV was unable to retrieve channel information for your provider. Please check the terminal window for more information." I choose "ok" Then the next one: "You MUST run 'mythfilldatabase --manual the first time, instead of just 'mythfilldatabase'. Your grabber does not provide channel numbers, so you have set them manually." After this I click "ok" Then I do as it said and I write "mythfilldatabase --manual" to the bash and I get following: Code: ###

I was just wondering if there is a working config file for Helsinki (finland) TV-settings. If not what should I do to get the channels work? |

Having just done this (in Australia). you can run mythfilldatabase --configure first. Somewhere you set up the grabbber, mine was tv_grab_au that finds the xml definitions |
