Hello all,
I am having a problem I tried emailing the author but there was no responce. I am tring to get the ppv for dish to work in the guide data. I have tried to run the ppv parser but I keep getting sql insert errors.
I have knoppmyth R5A16

Maybe someone can HELP!!!
PLEASE
Hello,
I just wanted to let you know and maybe you would know the resolution to it. Anyways here is my Data & Configuration:
Celeron D 2.8
512MB
120GB HDD
Knoppmyth R5A16
PVR-350
And here is there error it gives when I try to run the script as root and 755 permissions:
or the right syntax to use near 's')' at line 1 at ./sql.pl :::
line 191.

Now I have tried your config file changes :
* Edit /etc/mysql/my.cnf, comment out 'skip-networking'.
Before:
skip-networking
After
# skip-networking
* Restart MySQL(as root)
/etc/init.d/mysql restart
This is all run form one machine. It is networked but the DB is internal. I ran the KNOPPMYTH TV installation.
Nothing helped it.
Not too sure on what to do from here. If you have any suggestions that would be great
and again Thank you very much!!

I'm not sure about the rest of it, but I am pretty sure those config file changes you list at the end of your message are ONLY needed if you are running separate front end and back end machines. If when you say "this is all run from one machine," you mean you have a single machine that's both frontend and backend, you don't need to edit that my.cnf file.

Process of elimination I guess

Just ran it a few minutes ago, worked fine. PPV Movies are now listed in the program guide. It was the first time I'd used the script, I was hoping that NBA league pass data would be there but it wasn't.
Still, it's a pretty nice little script.
