Help I've installed a fresh R5A22. All looks ok After completing config - I start MythFrontEnd and "watch tv" - the screen says "no lock" and doesnt show any tv. Terminal screen shows 'prebuffering pause' Try 'mythtv' same problem Run configuration (mythtv-setup) again Run MythTv - can watch fine. Run 'MythFrontEnd/Watch TV' - "no lock"/prebuffering pause Run MythTv again - now it doesn't work either Reconfigure and start again - same error sequence ie. mythfrontend/wtach tv fails and causes mythtv to fail thereafter If I avoid mythfrontend and just use mythtv can start and stop and change channels all ok. Shame about recording etc. tho Problem appears to be located in front end, as if MythForntEnd is setting a flag somewhere when it starts, which then prevents correct execution of MythTv however it might be invoked. hmmm.... Very consistent and reproducible error Also note, can change channels successfully in mythtv (as long as mythfrontend/watch tv has not been invoked) and see the new channels. Arrg. Very little hair left. Please help HW = AMD 3000+ Venice in A8NE with Nvidia 6600GT, 1GB, 200Gb, Dvico DVB-Plus card autoinstall options all the way. Config tunes channels ok - Australian channels tuned as expected whether I define 1 or more transports sound works ok - can play music and tv sound is ok - when tv works (mythtv not front end) Secondary problem - I manually recorded a show (as a test to see if a recording would screen ok even if "live" tv wouldn't) - can;t view recording. Can see it in the list of 'previously recorded' but not in the Media Library ie. it's not even available for selection - tho I could select it for 'delete'. Also wierd Any help much appreciated |
