ok I am tring to get the mythburn to work. It completes the task fine then when it tries to burn the dvd it gives errors:

Cannot mount drive.

So I try to mount the drive and it says that the superblock is bad. It is a brand new lite-on dvd dl 16x drive.

I tried all kinds of media but still nothing.

It is knoppmyth R5A16

I would guess it's a permissions issue. Try adding www-data to the cdrom group.

You can't mount blank media. Try mounting something with data on it.

As I stated earlier, this looks like a permissions issue.

That's not what I said to do. /dev/dvd and /dev/cdrom are symlinks to /dev/hdc. Changing permissions on symlinks won't fix your problem. It's best not to mess with permissions on devices anyways. If you just add www-data to the cdrom group it should work.

usermod -Gcdrom www-data

Code:
 usermod -Gcdrom www-data
