Is it possible to set up a script to change the location of channels on the data I receive from zap2it? I can receive my hdtv channels without a converter on my tv but zap2it only lists the channels on the digital service package because you can not receive them if you do not have a digital tv. For example I receive wsfa-dt on channel 90-1. Zap2it lists it on the digital package as channel 226. If I can't get zap2it to include the channel on the basic cable lineup can I edit their data on mythtv so that I can see the guide data for the channel?

Another question: In the setup of mythtv do you have to search for channels or just use what zap2it send? The reason I ask is that my hdtv channels are frequently off the air. Can I have them in my lineup if they are not broadcasting when I try to set up mythtv?

I highly recommend you read the MythTV docs.

I have now read the docs. If I understand correctly I can edit the channel location on the edit channels portion of the setup. Is that correct? I could not see anything in the docs about sub channels like 90-1. Can I set it to pick up those?
