Post subject:  Guide and Recorded Shows Broswing Problem

I have just compiled mythtv 0.18.1 and I have the following problem. When viewing the tv guide data or browsing my recordings the up and down arrows on my remote seem to be acting more like page up/down. I can be at the top of my "All Programs" list in the recordings screen and hit the down arrow (mapped to the Down keypad button on the keyboard) and it jumps me to the very last recording (I only have a couple right now, if I had more I assume it would only jump one screens worth). I have a similar problem browsing the guide data in livetv. It jumps page by page so there is no actual way of choosing any of the data in between the channels that it jumps to/from. I have checked my key mapping in mythweb and I dont see anything that would fix it there and I have browsed the mythtv settings menus as well and see nothing. The up/down works fine for browsing through the mythtv menus. I havnt had a chance to upload any videos or music to the server as of yet so I cant tell if I am going to have the same issues there or not. Does anyone out there have any ideas as to what might be wrong? I have myth setup on another box and it works just great.

Thanks for any insight anyone can give me.

maybe check the 'repeat' parameter in your .lircrc file. if set it can cause a single arrow to quickly act like several key presses.

Nope, not the problem. I dont even have a lircrc file anywhere. A kernel module controls what the keys on my remote are mapped to letter/function wise (have a look at ati_remote.c file if you have one). And as I mentioned, it only does page up/down when browsing the guide and any recorded programs. It probably does the same for videos and music but I havnt tested that function yet as I dont have any uploaded to the server at this moment.
