I'm having trouble getting HDTV shows I record onto DVDs. I've tried nuvexport as well as mythburn. NuvExport does something that screws up the video and I see a bunch of green moving bars in the resulting video. Mythburn doesn't seem to do a resize to 720x480 and just assumes your video is already 720x480. Anybody out there have a good solution or a hack for mythburn? |

I have had no luck on HD content with nuvexport. I did multiple reinstalls and apt-getted till my fingers hurt but no luck. Ultimately, I think I will just wait until its less beta. What has worked for me is to share out the drive and to use videora (for my wife's ipod) or the Yasa video converter from a windows machine. Less than optimal but now I can watch Divx (in particular) movies that are higher in quality than a dvd, no missed frames etc. I simply recode them and move them into the /myth/video directory. Divx at 800x600 with 3000 bitrate looks very nice on my Duron 800 /256 megs /mx 4000 agp. I am running r5a30.2 On non HD content of course nuvexport has worked well for me. |

I was able to get an HD program to DVD by using the following process: 1.) Export using Nuvexport to nuv+sql. 2.) Demultiplex and Cut commercials using ProjectX 3.) re-multiplex and export to correct DVD mpeg format using AviDemux2 4.) Capture a jpg for a menu background using AviDemux2 (optional) 4.) Create menus and file structure with DVDStyler 5.) Burn to DVD with growisofs |
