This is a little off topic, but I discovered the problem first by trying to play a movie through Myth Video.

have my box running FC4 hooked up to a 50" plasma at a resolution of 1920x1080. When I try and play a movie, either a dvd iso, or a divx, the gui locks up, and the x process goes to 99%.

The computer is connected to the tv from the back of the nvidia 6600gt's dongle that looks like an svid cable on one end (but with more pins) and component connectors on the other end.

When I play the same move with my box connected to a crt, it plays fine.

Obviously im using 2 different xorg.conf files. The .conf for the crt is identical except, of course, for the monitor and screen sections.

Can anyone take a stab at this and figure out whats wrong? Oh, I might add I tried changing the resolution down to 800x600 and play a movie, and it did the same thing.
