Post subject:  PVR 350: TV out problems

Hello,
I recently installed KnoppMyth on my PIII computer with a Hauppauge PVR 350.
Unfortunately, I cannot get the TV out to work.
When KnoppMyth is booting, you can see the TV screen flicker and display something, but it is not the GUI. I do not know where it takes the settings for the TV out from, but in /etc/X11 there is a sample configuration for the PVR 350 (for NTSC, but I have PAL here). Is this the one that gets used for TV out?
cat /proc/fb returns nothing. Could this be the problem?

Thanks for any help

There are several threads that talk about how to setup the TV out on the 350. There is even a script. Have you followed any of those threads? Did the script not work? How about posting some details and where along the path things are failing?

I also recently installed the newest KnoppMyth R5A30.1 with a PVR 350. I have a visual at my tv but the screen resolution does not fit my requirements. I also need PAL. I used the R5Alpha16-pvr350.pl script. After that you need to reconfigure the resulting XFConfig-4 file yourself. I did not succeed the reconfigure for PAL because any change can make a visual on tv fail. I will give it another try...

Can you tell us what you did? I'm having the same problem. I can't seem to find the fb# even when I look through the logs.
