Hey guys, Ive noticed that all schedule recordings I do, use tuner 1 first, then tuner 2. Great, no probs. Accept I have noticed one thing. I was watching TV, and was time shifting, was probably behind by about 20 mins, when suddenly my box has popped up, told me it wants to record the program on the same channel that was starting (I had not got to it yet), so basically I said, sure, record and ill watch, but it took me to the program it began recording, so I missed out on the 20-30 mins of program I hadnt seen yet that was buffered. So basically, all I want to do is, force all recordings to use tuner 2, unless tuner 2 is used, then flip back to tuner 1. Or vice versa, make live tv use tuner 2, while recordings use tuner 1. There is an option in the settings screens that says something like "avoid conflicts between recordings and live tv" Which basically causes live TV to go to the lowest priority tuner card, while recordings start from the highest priority card. |

Also in the next version of mythtv all livetv will actually create a recording for just such occasions. |
