I just stubled onto the development documentatin of MythTV 0.19-prerelease. I'm wondering when this will be done. Also, I see that there is code for the SA3250HD. How can I patch KnoppMyth installation with something that I find here?

You're asking the wrong people. You need to head over to the MythTV Developers mailing list for that question. While the distinction may not be obvious from the outside, KnoppMyth is a Linux distribution which includes MythTV, making Cecil a user (rather than a developer) of MythTV just like the folks who use the KnoppMyth distro that he is a developer of.

I had a problem with my DCT-6200 which wouldn't show video anymore via firewire and my KnoppMyth would crash the front and backend. I didn't know what was going on so I installed Windows and used the AVS forum guide to get the DCT-6200 capture device working and record from firewire in Windows. Good news, I can record from Windows so I know it's not my STB, firewire connection, firewire port, or my computer, it must be software. So I decided to install Suse 10.0 x86_64 AMD64 and then build MythTV from SVN trunk source code. Good news is that I was able to build MythTV and get the backend and frontend working (need to rebuild when I get home and compile with Firewire enabled), filled with programming data, opened the frontend and launched into the program guide perfectly.

I like the new 0.19 features and new pop-up keyboard. It also now natively supports the SA3250HD, dont' know about internal channel changing though.

Next step, get plug-ins working.

 This forum isn't a blog for you to post your progress/issues w/ 0.19. Did you even bother to search the forum for 'firewire broadcast'? As a matter of fact, don't answer consider this thread dead.
